Lab360 created and application that, in just 5 steps, will help you to update your Contacts adding the digit 9 to the mobile phone numbers in São Paulo area according to the resolution 553/10 from Anatel (Brazilian National Agency of Telecommunication). You will be able to update your contacts adding the ninth digit or creating a new label with the new number.
Starting on July 19, 2012, the digit 9 will be added to mobile number in area code 11 (São Paulo and metropolitan area). That way, the phone numbers will have the following pattern 9XXXX-XXXX.
The Anatel decided to add the ninth digit on that area to increase the availability of numbers to mobile devices and to attend the demand of new users in the metropolitan region of São Paulo (Area Code 11).
NOTE: This app does not copy any of your contacts, performing the updates on the device itself, respecting your privacy.
