Photochrom Volume 2

Photochrom Volume 2

       iOS Universal

View over 2,000 photochroms from Algeria, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Germany, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey, and Ukraine.

An internet connection is required.

Photochroms—color lithographs made from photographic negatives—were popular for a few decades from about 1890 on, before color photography was commercially viable. These are from the Library of Congress collection, all of which are now in the public domain.

You can scroll through all of them in a grid, view them full-screen, or see a slideshow. You can also buy prints and link to the Library of Congress page for each photochrom. Images are sized to fill the screen (iPhone/iPod Touch or iPad).

Volumes 1 and 3 are also available, or you can get all three volumes together (over 6,000 photochroms) at a special price in the Photochrom Ultimate app.

Volume 1 includes the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, Cuba, Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales.

Volume 3 includes Belgium, Denmark, France, the Riviera, the Holy Land, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Switzerland.
