AT&T FamilyMap

AT&T FamilyMap

       iOS iPhone

With AT&T FamilyMap, AT&T customers can quickly and conveniently locate family members, even those with other AT&T phones (most smartphones and non-smartphones). This subscription service is $9.99 per month to locate up to two family members on your AT&T account or $14.99 per month to locate up to five family members, charged on your monthly AT&T wireless bill.*

AT&T FamilyMap Features:

•View a map that shows your child’s location, as well as landmarks you define such as your child’s school, parks, or their friend’s house.
•Set Schedule Checks for FamilyMap to automatically locate your child’s phone at specific times of day and get notified of their location by text or email.
•Locate your teenage driver without distracting them in the car with a call or text message.
•Locate a lost or stolen phone.

*Important: Deleting the app from your iPhone does not cancel the monthly subscription charge. To cancel, visit http://www.att.com/directbill and follow the instructions or call AT&T Customer Care at 1-800-331-0500. If you call Customer Care, enter the phone number used for sign up to the service, press 0 for more options, then select GPS Services in the automated menu to route your call appropriately.

AT&T FamilyMap is compatible with iPhone 4s, 4, 3GS, 3G and Original iPhone using 3.0 or greater software. The AT&T FamilyMap app is not compatible with or supported on iPad at this time. However, you can locate family members using the FamilyMap web app in the Safari browser at familymap.att.com.

Service is only available to AT&T Customers. AT&T FamilyMap is secure and private. Only the AT&T FamilyMap subscriber has permission to locate a family member.

Service availability, timeliness or accuracy of location is not guaranteed. Coverage is not available in all areas. A phone must be turned on and in the AT&T network coverage in order for it to be located. AT&T FamilyMap uses a number of techniques to determine a phone's location. AT&T phones that have A-GPS (Assisted GPS) return the most accurate locations when they have a clear line of sight to GPS satellites. For example, when the phone is outside or is in a car near a window. For phones where A-GPS is not available, FamilyMap uses cell tower information to triangulate the phone’s location and provides the most accurate location possible, which is usually within a few hundred yards to a few miles of the phone's actual location.
