iOS iPad Medical
YourPT is an aid to keeping track of your assigned Physical Therapy exercises.
Not only does it list all of your exercises is a scrolling display, it also will log the date and time you did the exercise so you and your Physical Therapist can keep track of your progress. This log file can be email to yourself as backup, or your to your Physical therapist.
The date and time format is for GMT time, to convert to local time just add or subtract depending on time zone and daylight savings time.
The application has 2 sample exercises installed to demonstrate the options in creating exercises. If your Physical Therapist gives you paper or PDf exercise sheets, you can take a picture of the sheet, or print the pdf and take a picture, or covert the pdf to an image file.
Each exercise on the sheet needs to be turned into a separate image file by cropping to add the exercise using the built-in exercise editor. Please see the help screen in the exercise editor for more instructions on how to create an exercise.
If you don't have an image you want to use with an exercise, you can leave the image filename blank, and fill out the fields to create a text only exercise. Either way will provide you with an exercise block with a unique exercise ID. A single tap to the exercise block will ask you "if you want to log the exercise". If you answer yes then a record with the time, date and exercise title will be created in the log database.
Logging is quick and easy. I usually have the iPad with me to guide me through which exercises I need to do, and then tap the block when complete to log and record the exercise.
The label in the upper right corner displays the last exercise complete in case you get interrupted and have to return to you therapy session.
I hope this App helps you as much as it helps me with my physical therapy and good luck.
