Mac OS Utilities
*NOTE* When you use a headset or external speakers through the headset port or USB, the startup sound can't be muted! You have to remove the headset or speakers before closing down and reconnect after startup.
With SilentStartup it's easy to (temporarily) mute the startupsound of your Mac. You can also indicate that you want to keep the sound muted after the startup. This comes in handy when you use the facility to start your mac automaticly and don't want to be disturbed by any sound. It's easy to unmute the sound manually after startup, in the usual way.
- fixed startup after update (when SilentStartup doesn't work after this update, quit the program, restart
it and setup again); the fix works with the next version;
- bug-fixes in the translation;
- added a button to the startscreen to quit the program (in case the icon was hidden, you used
to unhide it before SilentStartup could quit - you can now quit the program when the icon is hidden);
- added a emaillink on the helpscreen that starts your emailprogram in case you want to contact us.
