Pocket RTA has many advanced features which are normally only found in much more expensive sound analysis software, providing fast and accurate spectrum analysis suitable for both amateur hi-fi enthusiasts and professional A/V engineers. Vibration is a true vibration spectrum analyzer using the built in accelerometers inside the iPod Touch and the iPhone. It acquires and displays time series data, optionally removes DC bias, applies a Hamming window and performs an FFT on each channel to produce frequency spectra. The 3-channel accelerometer has a sensitivity of approximately 0.02g and a range of ±2g making the iPhone and iPod Touch sensitive enough to analyze the vibration of most moving machinery.

In many applications Vibration can be an excellent portable alternative to a commercial spectrum analyzer. In predictive maintenance applications Vibration can help identify bearing defects, shaft misalignment, imbalance, and structural resonant frequencies. Vibration is also useful for monitoring the acceleration of part and material handling equipment.

Once the settings are configured simply press the sample button. When a test is complete the resulting data can be emailed to your desktop computer for documentation purposes.

While you're on the go, you need to send a photo from your iPhone, but it's not good enough (brightness, contrast, sharpness, hue, saturation).

Now, you can fix your photo before sending it by email, directly on your iPhone. As easy as: pick, edit, save. Then you go to your "Camera Roll" / "Saved Pictures" folder and select the modified picture to send it.

The new "White Balance" correction is the fastest way to fix colors on your picture. You only have to drag the target circle into a "SHOULD BE WHITE" color on the picture, and "SP Photo Fix" will do the rest.

Also includes a built-in pink noise generator. Flip the screen over, turn on pink noise, and plug a cable into the headphone connector (use a mic splitter) to generate full-band pink noise. *** iPhone mic Frequency Compensation Filter

RTA uses a special frequency-compensation filter to flatten the iPhone mic. Make sure you select Internal on the setup page.

RTA is designed by the same team that built the Audio Toolbox acoustic analyzer.

*** Specifications and Devices

The internal iPhone mic has a noise floor near 30 dB, and clips around 105 dB. So, be aware that this tool will NOT work in very loud environments, such as clubs or some concerts. RTA will work on first-generation iPhone, but always use the headset mic, as the built-in mic runs at a low sample rate.

If you have an iPod Touch 2nd generation, use a headset mic, and if you have a first generation iPod Touch, you must use one of the dock-connector microphones and be running OS 2.2 or later.

*** Touch GUI

Fully interactive touch GUI features includes scroll up/down, pinch to zoom or compress the vertical dB scale, or swipe horizontally to get a cursor that reads out the exact dB level and frequency across the screen. To make the cursor disappear, swipe it off the graph to the left.

The landscape-mode display flips 180 degrees so that you can face the internal mic in either direction.

*** Overlay Curves

Also included are optional noise curve overlays, in NCB, RC, PNC, and NR mode. See picture #2 for an example. Use this feature to get a quick reading on the noise levels in a room. Also includes the cinema large-room X-curve overlay.

*** Calibration

RTA can be calibrated, and stores two calibration constants, one for the internal mic and one for the external calibrated test microphone. We even have corrected for the iPhone's intrinsic high and low-frequency roll-offs.

The first tab calculates the amount of cubic yards of concrete needed for a given job with a square or rectangular form. You input the length and width in feet and the thickness in inches. Also, you can input a cost per cubic yard to get a total cost of your concrete order. Tap on the calculate button and then ConcreteCalc Pro displays the amount of cubic yards of concrete needed.

The second tab calculates the amount of cubic yards of concrete needed for a given job for a sona tube or circular form. You input the diameter in inches, height in feet, number of columns, and cost per concrete yard. Then tap on the calculate button and then Concrete Calc Pro will display the amount of cubic yards of concrete needed and/or the total cost of concrete.

The third tab will figure your exterior footings. You input the permiter, then the width and depth of your footing. Optionally you can include the cost per cubic yard and waste overage percentage. Finally, tap on the calculate button and the number of cubic yards and total cost is displayed.
