The Return of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle

The Return of Sherlock Holmes (1905) – Under tremendous pressure to revive his famous character, Doyle wrote these thirteen stories to satisfy the reading public after Holmes’ “Great Hiatus”. At the conclusion of these stories, Holmes informs Watson that he is now retired and forbids Watson to publish any more of his stories. The Return of Sherlock Homes is the third in a set of five volumes containing these intriguing short adventures.
