Poemas de Fernando Pessoa (Portuguese) HD
Fernando António Nogueira de Seabra Pessoa, popularly known as Fernando Pessoa, was born in 1888 in Lisbon. He was famous for his poems, literary criticisms, and translation work. Harold Bloom referred to him as The Western Canon and viewed him as a modernist poet. Pessoa was fluent in three different languages– Portuguese, English, and French. Similar to other modernists’ views, Pessoa articulated about the tyrannies of state and church and urge the society to discard such acceptance to herald in a new civilization. Pessoa loved to experiment in writing. He wrote his poems in the guise of heteronyms– Alberto Caeiro, Ricardo Reis, and Álvaro de Campos. Some of his works are Mensagem, O Guardador de Rebanhos, The Book of Disquiet.
