‘Plants vs. Zombies’ Debuts in Mac App Store

Plants vs. Zombies, the wildly-popular tower defense game by PopCap Games that has been a regular among the top paid iOS games, debuted in the Mac App Store today. Plants vs. Zombies is currently priced at $9.99 and joins a few other PopCap Games there including Peggle, Peggle Nights, and Bejeweled 3.

Plants vs. Zombies was first released in 2009 and debuted in the iOS App store for the iPhone in February 2010, making an impressive debut with over 300,000 downloads within the first nine days alone. An HD version for the iPad arrived in April 2010 and has remained in the Top 200 Paid iPad Games since that time.

Plants vs. Zombies in the Mac App Store requires OS X 10.6.6 or later though it is available for OS X 10.4.11 and later directly from PopCap Games here (where the cost of the game is currently $19.95).
