Kodak, the U.S.-based company that became famous for its print photography products, has released an iPad app for its online photo hosting service. Kodak Gallery HD debuted in the App Store at the start of the weekend, joining the Kodak Gallery app for the iPhone that was released in late 2008. Both apps are free while a Kodak Gallery account is free for the first 90 days, after which a minimum annual purchase of $4.99 or $19.99 depending on the photo storage space used, is required to maintain an account.
Photos uploaded to Kodak Gallery can be shared with others online, printed professionally, and used to create personalized products like greetings cards, calendars, mugs and much more. The iPad app allows users to view photos and albums already hosted with the service and upload new photos.
