AppShopper ‘My Apps’ Importer for Mac Available
Our official AppShopper app was released in the App Store earlier this week and we’re pleased to offer another utility for AppShopper users. AppShopper.com Importer is now available and will import the complete list of apps you already own from iTunes on your computer to your AppShopper profile. AppShopper Importer is for the Mac only though a Windows version is in the works.
You can download the application here. It will pull only the app names from your iTunes library and nothing else. The application will ask you to log in to your AppShopper account to get started. If you don’t already have an account, you can create one here (accounts are free).
After your app list has been downloaded, the apps you own will appear in the My Apps tab on AppShopper.com and in the My Apps section in our universal app.
Under the My Apps tab here on the site, you can rate your applications, share them with your friends, and receive notifications about updates.
We’ll post here and on our Twitter account when the Windows version of the importer is available.

The importer is not importing all my apps, it keeps importing the same 10 apps… I have over a 100. Does it look only into a specific folder?

10? Holy cow, I have about 500. Wonder if the app will self-destruct. Will advise once I get to try it.

Any chance it could import apps which aren’t on iTunes (i.e. deleted apps)?

Great when will windows version be released cant wait!

@bruno
In some cases, I believe people end up having two Mobile Application folders on their computer, as a result of having iTunes organizing your apps:
~/Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications
~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Mobile Applications
I suspect you’ll find 10 in the former and the rest in the later. In that case, try to consolidate into the latter.

Oh, I finally tested the app. Turns out you select which folder you wish to import
Thanks Appshopper for this app.
Any chance for an offline app manager (with links to Appshopper of course)?

Also, this app doesn’t recognise apps not in the US App Store – i.e. international apps e.g Monopoly (International version).
Still, thx very much for this app – this will help me manage my deleted apps.
Appshopper FTW!

It would be useful to be able to sort My Apps alphabetically.
12:34 pm, September 10th, 2010
you can sort by name
2:03 pm, September 10th, 2010
@arn
Forgive my ignorance, how do you sort the apps by name from within the Appshopper app?
2:42 pm, September 10th, 2010
Any chance you’ll offer a PC version as well?
2:46 pm, September 10th, 2010
oh, you can’t in the app…. yet
5:35 pm, September 10th, 2010
How about apps I deleted after the import… will they automatically get unchecked from AppShopper?
11:07 pm, September 10th, 2010
How about ability to import all apps from one’s iTunes account purchase history? I bought over 700 apps in the past but hold only 100 in my iTunes library. Thanks.

How long until the windows version is released? Sorry I don’t mean to sound impatient

Downloaded app shopper app. ALl of the rankings seem ‘bought’ by vendors. I can’t get the top 25/top50. What-up?

I never connect to iTunes in the first place, so this isn’t useful. I want an app that does this on my iOS device, where my apps live. Now, I would pay for that!
9:34 am, September 12th, 2010
does not work! I have over 300 apps and it detected just ONE!!!
6:37 pm, September 12th, 2010
I appreciate that this app will sync the apps I have with my appshopper account. It certainly saves the time for me gathering the data and marking the apps as “I own it”.
Now, please build an app that will sync the apps I want with my appshopper account. Digging through all the apps and manually marking the ones I want is pretty cumbersome. It would be much easier if you could release an app that would do this for me.

Worked perfectly for me, imported all 150+ apps to my AppShopper account. I wonder if it’s possible for Appshopper to import the wishlist from an iTunes account?
1:08 am, September 30th, 2010
When you have an app that you just bought and it is also on the wish list, the importer doesn’t change it from Want it to Own it. My current example: Peggle, which is on sale.

Great work
When will the windows version become available??

Any ETA on the Windows Version?
7:15 pm, March 4th, 2011
Windows version is great, thanks.
However, I deleted a ton of crappy apps now that ratings are back and I really don’t want to go through 1000 apps and uncheck “own it” and running importer again just says no new and does not uncheck.
Any way to reset/clear all my “own it” check boxes?
