TanZen, a Chinese puzzle game, is coming to the iPad according to the developer, Little White Bear Studios. The iPad version promises new graphics, pop-up menus, more puzzles, a new achievement system, and other features not yet available in the iPhone version.
Screenshots show the game’s graphics scaled to take advantage of the iPad’s larger screen and higher resolution.
The iPhone version of TanZen has been commended for its visual appeal by TouchArcade. TanZen is currently priced at $.99 and a free version, TanZen Lite, is also available. The iPad version is expected to be available shortly after the iPad’s release.
The App Store is rife with sudoku apps, taking advantage of the popularity of this number puzzle game. Developers David Jones and Amy Burton announced that they will be putting out a sudoku game for the iPad to be released on April 3 to coincide with the iPad’s availability in the U.S.
Their Sudoku Real Edition will offer 400 puzzles and 4 levels of difficulty, along with amped up graphics and sound to provide an enhanced experience on the iPad, intended to mimic a real sudoku book.
Sudoku Real Edition for the iPad will be priced at $2.99. An iPhone version is in the works.
