Pollen is your simple guide to the pollen levels in your area of the United Kingdom with added Map View and Push Notifications. This information is particularly useful for hayfever sufferers and people who are allergic to pollen.
A quick and easy display shows you the current level of pollen in your area. It's colour coded for simplicity and gives you todays, tomorrows and importantly yesterdays pollen level so you can determine which (if any) precautions to take. Having yesterdays pollen reading allows you to determine if your allergy today will be as bad / good.
When starting the application for the first time, you'll need to choose which area of the UK you are interested in. If you want to look at other areas, simply click on the region on the main screen and you'll be presented with the list again.
Clicking on the Map icon gives you an overview of the whole UK and clicking then on a particular region takes you directly to the information for that region.
Also - Push Notifications using Apples Push Notification Service (APNS) allow you to receive alerts to your phone advising you when the pollen level for the next day will reach or exceed your specified alert level. These alerts come through around mid-day each day (UK time).
Pollen readings are given by area and this can vary depending upon where within that area you are so should be treated as a guide only. The type of pollen which is being displayed depends upon the time of year.
NOTE: This application only displays information for the United Kingdom but has been released in all areas for people who are travelling to the UK to use. This application is supported by the adverts which allow us to provide it to you for free. Please visit our sponsors.
