Ping determines the availability of a host and packet round trip times.
*Ping ranges allow you to ping up to a „class c“ address range (1-254) to determing responding hosts within the range. (e.g. 10.0.0.1-254 or 192.168.1.15-31)
*Ping groups allow you to create groups of hosts. E.g. create your WAN, LAN, printer or server ping groups. Host can be selected from the Ping favorite section and associated to a group. If selected and started all selected hosts are being fast pinged to determine their rechability.

Trace route determines the path to a destionation (if not prohibited by firewalls). Is is being impelemented for very fast path determination.

(WoL) Wake-on-LAN allows you to wake up a device via your network, the internet or VPN by sending a magic packet to wake it up. Please note that the remote device must be configured to listen to those kind of packets for being able to be woken up.

For WoL to work you should always configure the LAN Broadcast address instead of host address to prevent problems with timeouted arp caches and thus not possible packet delivery within the target network. (e.g. for Host 192.168.1.42 network mask 255.255.255.0 you should use 192.168.42.255 as WoL host address)

The Wake on LAN feature has been successfully tested with Airport Express, Airport Extreme, TimeCapsule and quite some other vendor's devices such as Cisco, Draytek, AVM routers. In bridged, routed LANs as well as over the Internet through IPSEC VPN connections.

Info section includes
-about / version information
-device status ( Online Connection type & status (e.g. WWAN/WiFi/IPSEC/Tunnel)
-device's IP address settings
-DNS server (new in 1.21)
-Default gateway (new in 1.21)

additional bug fixes

- due to a bug even if the WOL port had been changed the packet was still being send out at the default port 9. This has been fixed.

- after a WOL super favorite was being used and the default port was changed afterwards within the settings area within the application any subsequent super wol favorite being send still used the old port as long as the application was not being restarted. This issue has been fixed.
