iCluster - The DX-Cluster database

iOS Universal

iCluster is an iPhone App for HAM, SWL (Short wave radio listeners) or for everybody who want’s to know, what’s going on on the amateur radio frequencies.

This App is connecting the so called international DX-Cluster database in realtime. The results are analyzed and displayed in an easy to read overview.

The content can be filtered by frequency (e.g. 80m, 40m etc.) or mode (CW = Morse, Beakon or digital modes). Shortwave up to VHF frequencies are supported (from 160m to 6m and 70cm).

Calls (the callsign of the operators) will be decoded automatically by the App. This allows even inexperienced users to know the countries of the operators.

iCluster is an ideal tool for amateur radio operators for field days or contests. But also unlicensed users can use iCluster to find out the frequencies for their shortwave scanner or short wave radio receiver.

What's new

This updates fixes a few issues of the new version for instance:
- The Sponsor Function is now working (please read the text in the settings screen)
- The remaining German texts are now in English
- The missing Back button was fixed
- Faster Cluster download
- Cluster download will be suspended when in filter or settings screen
- And a few others minor improvements

Please note, there is also a new data update available so please update both, this app update and the data update. The order does not matter.

Unfortunately, it took Apple full three weeks to release this update. I was in contact with Apple a couple of times and asked them to review and release this update as it will fix some major issues but they said they will do their best and are currently quite busy.

So I had no other chance than to remove the app from sales which meant that many people meanwhile were not able to purchase my app but.

So hopefully sales will now recover.

During the last three weeks I also worked on the next update which will add some further improvements and interesting functionalities.
