Better Birmingham

"Better Birmingham" is a "Government 2.0" app that allows Birmingham, AL citizens to directly message their local government when they see problems in their community. Citizens can file a report consisting of the description and location of the problem, the category to which it belongs, and an optional picture. "Better Birmingham" uses the iPhone's GPS device to help the user decide to which local government the report should be sent.

"Better Birmingham" currently supports the cities of Birmingham, Hoover, Mountain Brook, and Vestavia. It will be expanded to cover to the entire Greater Birmingham area in future versions. To speed up the expansion process, "Better Birmingham" includes an email feature where citizens can contact Metrocket directly to help contribute contacts for their local government.
