One neighborhood, one talent, one story. You install Soundwalk on your iPhone, then take a one-hour tour guided by the voice of an iconic figure from the city. Each character intimately unveils her neighborhood. Walking in the shoes of an insider, you can saunter through the back doors and secret courtyards, and listen to interviews with neighborhood residents. Actors, scenario, original soundtrack... Soundwalk is a cinematographic experience set in the real world.

MEET WITH THE ORIGINAL JAZZY JAY IN THE BRONX

Walk to the beat, listen to the rhythm, feel the heat of music vibrating through the soles of your feet. Learn the vibe, learn to rhyme, appreciate your time in ’da hood. MC your way past Afrika Bambaataa’s aura, rappin’ out hot joints, old-school joints, when rap was not yet hip-hop and people fought battles with words, to the beat of gunshots heard. A deconstructed neighborhood, a reinvention as the birthplace of the most influential music today. Revisit secret block parties and scratch contests, and if you dare turn your back to the Bronx, feast on the sweeping view at the river’s edge and you will make it out alive.

You will be safe with Jazzy Jay. He is the original pioneer of hip-hop, a legend in his own style. What better guide, what better man, to introduce you to the roots of the rap movement? Just respect, observe, and listen to the man who launched hip-hop on the airwaves and co-founded Def Jam Records.
