Main Street Locator: Your Guide to MainStreet Districts, Landmarks, and Businesses Across the USA

Over the past three decades, the Main Street movement has preserved and revitalized more than two thousand communities across America. It has reinvested fifty billion dollars in traditional commercial districts, keeping downtowns from deteriorating, businesses from closing, and jobs from moving elsewhere. Today, Main Street is a powerful network of 37 statewide programs, seven citywide programs, and two regional programs. The Main Street Locator app aims to unite these entities behind a single mission: making it easier to locate the businesses and landmarks they’re trying to save.

The Main Street Locator is an interactive, map-based directory of participating programs across the country. Users can browse communities in search of cultural venues, entertainment venues, landmarks, restaurants, service provides, retailers, and accommodations. Each business and landmark has a dedicated profile filled with helpful information such as contact details, photos, web links, and instant driving directions. Think of the app as a dedicated travel guide for each Main Street community, connecting visitors with the places they’d like to visit.

Unlike apps that have been designed for a specific community, The Main Street Locator has been built with a national scope, allowing users to browse the map for Main Street programs they'd like to visit far and wide. The communities themselves are responsible for adding and editing their listings, ensuring that information stays accurate and up-to-date. On the other end, users are encouraged to enrich the map by submitting photos and reviews of the places they visit.
