Corfu HiGuide
This HiGuide of Corfu is a very small app, fastly downloaded from the app store. It contents only a minimal set of images and maps. However, once started, you will be able to download a larger version, directly from our hosts.
HiGuide has been designed to help you in the choice and preparation of your trips, as well as being your guide when you are there.
Before you leave, you can use it as an illustrated book where each Point of Interest can be located on a map.
Once you are there, HiGuide really becomes your guide: it knows where you are, thanks to the GPS feature in your iPhone. It also knows what you can discover thanks to its data bank. It can point out everything that is around you, sorting its Points of Interest by order of proximity.
In both cases, HiGuide associates a series of photos in a slideshow to each Point of Interest.
But that’s not all…You can add your own photos, your own Points of Interest.
On the spot in Corfu, from Othoni to Antipaxos, you won’t necessarily have easy access to Internet. It doesn’t matter! HiGuide contains its own maps, in great detail. It can act like a GPS and allow you to situate yourself.
Corfu HiGuide includes Corfu, the northern islands Othoni, Mathraki, Erikoussa, and the southern islands Paxos and Antipaxos.
HiGuide can be used without any access to the Internet. However, it can also work online to whirl you into the unlimited world of the Net without leaving HiGuide.
HiGuide is capable of «Push notification» : if you set this feature, it will send you a message of notification for each new content available for download, even if you are not in the HiGuide or if your iPhone is sleeping.
HiGuide includes a smart, incremental system to download any extensions and updates for all datas: maps, photos, audio and vidéo sequences.
This downloading system works silently in the background, on any kind of network from 2G to WiFi. If your contract with your telephone operator limits or overcharges the number of megabytes, you should prefer WiFi connexions when downloading : some extensions can be huge, especially for audio, video or maps.
A promotional version for this title is presented by our application «HiGuide World», which is our catalog and our window for all titles in the HGuide series.

What's new
This new version is now driven by the new HiGuide engine, resulting in a series of improvements and new features :
-The capability to download and play different guides without leaving this application. This works just as in the general «HiGuide World»
- a smart, incremental system to download datas, multimedia contents and maps,
- a «push» notification system to be informed of any new event, promotion, update…
- a new design, for an access to the points of Interest using maps or search by categories, full text…
- the user can add his own Points of Interest using his own texts, photos, audio and videos
- Many minor features, such as a compass on the maps
