While the four years appointment with the Olympics of 2012 is coming closer and closer, iPhone users are offered an interesting application, a concise handbook describing all disciplines of London 2012, offering some useful links to all International Olympic Committees too.

"Olimpictures" is an application that shows the various disciplines in an elegant way through the captivating drawings of a graphic designer, Nicola Russo, who has tried to combine the use of colour with the ability to capture the plasticity and the dynamics of each discipline. Through a simple and intuitive interface users can scroll drawings of various sports, or look through a visual album to search the images related to specific sports.

All Olympic sports are represented by one or more images of great artistic and emotional impact, the links to national and international federations of all Olympic sports are included in the application, even for golf and rugby - these two disciplines will officially return in the Olympics of 2016.
The application allows you to download on your iPhone up to 5 pictures, so that the image can be used as wallpaper or as spash screen image of your iPhone.
