Wakaru - Learn Japanese by reading
"Wakaru" is an iPhone and iPad study aide for learners of Japanese language easing the reading of Japanese.
Wakaru features a WEB BROWSER and an EBOOK READER for the iPhone and the iPad with built-in dictionaries :
Japanese-English (165'000 entries)
Japanese-French (15'000 entries)
Japanese proper names (700'000 entries)
While browsing Japanese websites or reading a Japanese text, "Wakaru" allows you to lookup any word in the built-in dictionary. You just select a word and a pop-up with reading and meaning appears without interrupting your reading flow.
In addition, "Wakaru" can open external dictionary applications :

You can save the words you have searched and review them with the built-in flashcards module.
The ebook reader supports portrait and landscape orientation, vertical and horizontal text layout, rubi annotations as well as several font sizes and customizable text and background texture and colors.
With the integration of Aozora Bunko and Hoshizora Bunko (online Japanese libraries), you can browse and download free ebooks (18 000+ free Japanese ebooks).
To help finding text adapted to his/her Japanese level, ebooks can be searched according to their kanji difficulty level.
You can import text by copy and paste, through iTunes sharing or from the built-in browser.
The ebook module can also open PDF documents.
The look-up in PDF document is available as an in-app purchase for $3.99.
"Wakaru" supports retina display for iPhone (including iPhone 5) and iPad.
