MayanTime

The Mayan calendar is one of the most amazing, interesting, and accurate calendars in existence. The current "baktun" of the Mayan 'Long Count' will end precisely on December 21, 2012 (the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere). This date also coincides with a major astronomical event. A coincidence?

PLEASE NOTE: The current "baktun" will end on December 21, 2012. This is NOT the end of the Mayan calendar. The Mayan "Long Count" will end with 19.19.19.19.19, which is thousands of years into the future. Also, this application makes no mention or prediction about the end of the world.

Enjoy the Mayan calendar on your iPhone or iPod Touch as you explore the mysteries of the Mayan. This application displays the Mayan Long Count, along with the Calendar Round, Tzolkin, and Haab dates. It also displays the meanings of the Tzolkin and Haab cycles. By adjusting the Gregorian calendar date (the one we all know), you can see how the Mayans represented that same date in their calendar system.
