TangiView is an exciting new application for iPad that allows users to interact with virtual surfaces as if they were in the real world. Complex surface models that include colors, textures, and glossiness are rendered to the screen in real time. Tilting the iPad produces realistic changes in surface lighting and material appearance. New surface models created by users or downloaded from the Web can be loaded through iTunes. TangiView allows virtual surfaces to be observed and manipulated as naturally as real ones with the added benefit that surface properties can be changed at will. TangiView provides a powerful new tool for creating rich, interactive, experiences for digital catalogs, libraries, and museums.
