What SplashPhoto does that the built in Photos application does not:

- Synchronize with a FREE dedicated photo manager on Mac and Windows - SplashPhoto Desktop
- Organize your photos into albums on the desktop application, and add titles and notes
- Move photos between different albums on the handheld
- Upload to / Download from both Flickr and Picasa, both on desktop and handheld application
- Automatically Geotag photos you capture on the handheld so that they can be viewed on a relevant map on both Flickr and Picasa
- Completely separate photo database from the built in photo application, though you can add photos from built in library
- Set a password to prevent unwanted access to the SplashPhoto library; assign privacy on a photo by photo basis
