The Lighting Notebook app is a companion to the bestselling printed book by Kevin Kubota, "Kevin Kubota's Lighting Notebook: 101 Styles and Setups for Digital Photographers", published by Wiley. Q: How is the app different from the book?
A: Video and search! The app contains all 101 photos from the book, including behind-the-scenes photos of each setup, a graphic lighting diagram, and details of all equipment used in the shoot. The app includes easily searchable keywords to make finding the inspirational setup you need fast and easy. The app also adds behind-the-scenes videos for each one of the setups! The app does not include the complete text of the book covering lighting history, overview of equipment, lighting technique, terminology, and post-processing. The app does contain a condensed version of this educational background info.
