NextStop is a GPS Alarm designed for anyone who uses public transport, either commuting to work or on holiday, to help them get off at the right stop. You just set it and forget it!
There are many reasons why you could miss your stop. Examples are:
* A long day at work, after-work drinks or out partying - you might nod off.
* On holiday or a new route - you know where you’re going but not when to get off the bus.
* A great book you’re reading or album you’re listening to - you’re distracted.
These are the main reasons for buying this app that I can think of, I’m sure there are more.
In terms of features, Version 1 boasts:
* Up to 5 stored locations
* Simple to use graphical targeting interface
* Location search facility – type in the place and it will find it for you
* Perimeter settings (20-500 meters)
* Loud alarm noises
* Vibration control
* Will tell you the birds-eye distance, in meters, to any place in the world from where you are!
PLEASE NOTE:
To listen to music, you must start the music in iPod, then open the alarm and leave it active.
Next Stop relies on GPS data from the iPhone. If you travel underground it may not be able to receive reliable GPS data until you reach the surface.
The alarm will not make a noise (and probably not wake you up) if you have the manual 'mute' control enabled on the phone.
