MusicConnect
MusicConnect is an exciting way to use two iOS devices, or one device with your Mac, to create your own home media system, controllable from anywhere in your home! Think of the Apple Remote between iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches and Macs; when setup it truly is a home media system with all the perks but at a fraction of the cost!
Imagine you are hosting a party, chilling with friends or just relaxing by yourself- when listening to music the last thing you want to be doing is getting up and down to change the playlist, album or song.
With MusicConnect you can control the music playback on an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad from anywhere in your house with another device connected to the same wifi network! You can also control it from your mac whilst working/playing, letting you listen and control your music on the speakers you love!
If you have an old iOS device lying about, this could be the perfect use for it! Transform it into your very own home music system, and change what is playing, search through songs, albums and artists, and create your very own playlist from anywhere within your house at your leisure!
You can surf through your music easily, choosing items to play now or you can also queue them up, creating a playlist of your own on the fly! You can also choose to play, shuffle or queue whole albums and artists too.
What you need:
1 -Two iOS devices OR one iOS device and a Mac (Windows version coming soon...) (of any generation!); from the latest iPhone to the first generation iPod Touch, they all work great together!
2 -A home wifi network which both devices are connected to
3 -Something to listen to the music with; i.e. speakers/hi-fi which the playing device is connected to (or you can let the music play using the device's speakers)
Open MusicConnect on both devices, choose "Player" on one and then this should pop up on the menu of the other; connect them together and get listening!
If you are using MusicConnect for mac, simply set the playing device to "Player", and then click "Find Device" on your Mac- it is as simple as that!
What you can do:
- Browse through all the playing devices playlists, albums and artists
- Search quickly through songs, albums and aritsts
- Create a dynamic playlist as you listen by queueing up songs, playlists, whole albums and artists
- Edit the current playlist as you listen; change the order and delete items as you wish!
- Play, Pause, Next and Previous song controls
- Fast caching of data: once the data has all cached when you connect you are immediately able to begin surfing your music! MusicConnect works with multitasking on iOS4 devices (iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad)
-Choose your own theme to suit your mood: make your MusicConnect personal!
It really is as simple as that- the devices should immediately locate each other (if they don't then check your network firewalls) and you can get listening straight away!

What's new
MusicConnect has been completely re-written from the ground up, making it much more stable and easier to use!
- New menu: easily and quickly find playing devices
- Multitasking: now when you open up MusicConnect it will automatically reconnect, meaning you don't have to waste time waiting
- Better music control: MusicConnect 3.0 makes use of a new popup menu making it easier to play/queue/shuffle your way through your library
