FlickTunes lets you keep your eyes on the road & control your music by touch! It provides you with a bold, clean, yet uncluttered, interface combined with intuitive touch and gesture-based controls. FlickTunes is simply the safest and most effective way to control your music on the go. You won't ever need to take your eyes off the road again.
Perfect for use in the car, on the treadmill, at the gym or while jogging. Use it anywhere you can't afford to spend time futzing with your music player!
FlickTunes is more than just a music player, however - it’s *your* music player. Choose your own font. Choose your own orientation. Choose your own gestures. Choose a default playlist and more! With the release of v1.4, FlickTunes is now better than ever! We've listened carefully to what you wanted and have crammed so much new stuff in this version we're at a bit of a loss on how to explain it all. Get it. Play with it. We love your feedback, so please send us an email and/or leave a review iTunes. If you've already left a review, please update it and let us know what you think of this new version. Thank you!
###
WHAT'S NEW IN THIS VERSION:
♫ Control which screen orientations you want to allow one-by-one. You can also lock it into any single orientation you want simply by turning the other options off.
♫ Choose your own font for the song info header text. All suitable fonts on the iPhone are here, including bold and italic variants. Our favorite is Verdana Bold Italic, but now you don't have to live with it if you disagree.
♫ Customize the default playlist. Choose any playlist* you want (and whether you want shuffle/repeat), or use the default of a repeating random shuffle of all songs.
♫ Control how sensitive FlickTunes is in responding to gestures. You can choose a small threshold to allow small, twitchy gestures, or a large one to prevent accidental touches.
♫ All gestures now have a pop-up indicator so you know exactly what it's doing - no more guessing if you hit the right gesture or not. Of course, you can turn these off if you decide they're not for you.
♫ New gestures are available for restarting the current song, setting shuffle and repeat, opening the media picker, showing the song details screen, restarting the default playlist, fast forward and rewind.
♫ Fully customizable gestures! You can now choose exactly which gesture does what. We've got one, two and three finger gestures to choose from and a ton of actions you can assign to them: play/pause/toggle, next/previous song, restart song, skip back/forward 30 seconds, fast forward/rewind**, volume up/down, shuffle on/off/toggle, repeat on/off/toggle, start the default playlist, goto the media picker or song details screens.
♫ All of FlickTunes' options are located in the global Apple Settings app. Please go there and take a look at all the customizations available now. You can fine tune FlickTunes to suit your exact tastes. Of course, we've set all the defaults for you. So if you agree with us, you don't even have to change a thing!
---
* You cannot currently pick from a list of playlists in our settings. You must type in the name of the playlist you want as your default.
** Fast forward and rewind require you to flick and hold the gesture. Releasing the gesture will resume normal playback. Normal playback will also resume when you reach the end of the song and start the next one. This is the same way fast forward and rewind work in the iPod app.
###
NEW DEFAULT GESTURES ADDED:
♫ 3 Finger Swipe Down: Start (or restart) the default playlist.
♫ 3 Finger Flick Left: Flick and hold for Fast Forward.
♫ 3 Finger Flick Right: Flick and hold for Rewind.
###
BUG FIXES:
♫ Song change animations now automatically change direction to match the orientation.
♫ Performance is greatly improved starting the default playlist when it has a lot of songs in it.
###
KNOWN ISSUES:
♫ The media picker will always show in portrait mode regardless of what orientation FlickTunes is in. We will fix this as soon as it becomes technically possible to do so.
♫ FlickTunes cannot work with integrated car head-units that normally lock out iPod controls. We will fix this as soon as it becomes technically possible to do so.
♫ iTunes 9 Genius Mixes are not available through the media picker. You must start playback of Genius Mixes in the iPod app and then switch to FlickTunes. We will fix this as soon as it becomes technically possible to do so.
