Drum Genie Jazz
Bill Gibson’s Drum Genie Jazz demonstrates microphone techniques, EQ concepts, and processing tips to help you build a better jazz drum sound. Examples include comparisons of different mic configurations, from a single mono overhead to a close-miking setup that incorporates 11 microphones plus stereo room mics.
There are multiple versions of most samples along with screenshots that demonstrate the implemented sound-shaping technique. They included the flat reference along with versions that have been equalized, compressed, reverberated, and combined with stereo room mics.
And the “Kill Bill” button extends the usefulness of the Drum Genie Jazz.
