PCI Risk
Risk stratification for medical procedures is an important part of appropriate therapy for many diseases, including coronary artery disease. Statistical models have been published to predict the risk of mortality and major adverse cardiac events (MACE) with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for coronary obstructive disease.
This application serves as a simple bedside tool, using common clinical variables, to predict mortality or MACE with PCI in the pre-procedural period. Although this application may be useful for discussion and education, it is not a substitute for sound clinical judgment. Nor is it meant as a substitute for discussions between patients, relatives, and healthcare providers.
