Muscle is a contractile form of tissue which animals use to effect movement. This tissue is composed of fibers capable of contracting to
effect bodily movement. Muscle cells contain filaments made of the proteins actin and myosin, which lie parallel to each other.
When a muscle is signaled to contract, the actin and myosin filaments slide past each other in an overlapping pattern. Muscles
are are classified both functionally as either voluntary or involuntary and structurally as either striated or smooth etc….
