FDA Drugs is designed to help medical professionals to make clinical decisions more promptly and confidently. FDA Drugs contains built-in official information of 141 therapeutic biologicals, 13,442 prescription and 526 over-the-counter human drug products approved by US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for sale in the United States since 1939. The complete collection of package inserts are accessible for majority of those products when internet connection is available.

The application allows users

* to find all drugs with a specific active ingredient (the "Drug" tab);
* to find latest FDA approved labels for drug products (the "Label" tab);
* to find generic drug products for a brand name drug product (the "Generic" tab);

The "Drug" tab has complete list of FDA approved drugs, including ingredient, dosage, form, market status and etc. Its therapeutic equivalents and/or official package insert can be found if there is an FDA approved one.

The "Label" tab renders access to the most complete collection of FDA approved package insert. Each PDF file, retrieved directly from FDA, has the official description of a drug product which includes:
* Description;
* Clinical pharmacology;
* Dosage and administration;
* Use in specific populations;
* Contraindictions;
* Warnings and precautions;
* Adverse reactions;
* Drug interactions;
* Overdosage;
* Nonclinical toxicology;

The "Generic" tab enables direct search for therapeutically equivalent generic drugs for brand name drugs. It completely covers FDA's 'Approved Drug Products with Therapeutic Equivalence Evaluations' (a.k.a. The Orange Book) and Electronic Orange Book (a.k.a.EOB).
