Fluid
Web applications like Gmail, Facebook and Campfire are becoming more and more like desktop applications every day. Running each of these web apps in a separate tab in your browser can be a real pain.
Fluid lets you create a Real Mac App (or "Fluid App") out of any website or web application, effectively turning your favorite web apps into OS X desktop apps.
Creating a Fluid App out of your favorite website is simple. Enter the website's URL, provide a name, and optionally choose an icon. Click "Create", and within seconds your chosen website has a permanent home on your Mac as a real Mac application that appears in your Dock, and the Application switcher.
Fluid Apps for some some sites, like Gmail and Facebook (in English), even support Dock badges for "unread messages" out of the box.
Fluid Apps also offer powerful Userscript and Userstyle features. In a Fluid App you create, select the "Window → Userscripts" menu item to view the Userscripts/Userstyles window. Here you can tweak the appearance and behavior of any site on the web using simple URL wildcard matching, CSS and JavaScript.
Fluid's unique "Browsa" sidebar allows you to view multiple web pages simultaneously in sidebar split views. To activate a Browsa sidebar, open a Fluid App you've created. Then show the Toolbar ("View → Show Toolbar") and click one of the "compass" Toolbar buttons on the right side of the Fluid App browser window. Now you can browse to any web page in the sidebar Browsa.
What's new
* Improved stability on Mac OS X 10.6.
* NOTE: We are aware of an issue where Fluid App icons are not being created on the brand new Retina Mac Book Pros. We are investigating and hope to have a fix available soon.
