Sticky Notifications

Sticky Notifications

       Mac OS

Create quick sticky-note-like reminders in Notification Center (Mountain Lion or later) or Growl. Great for when you need to remember something, when you switch tasks temporarily, or when you have to step away from the computer.

Works with Automator, Alfred, LaunchBar, System Services and more!

What's new

Huge update!

You can now hide the menubar icon.

We have a new "Open at login" option. Sticky Notifications will be hidden when it's launched at login.

Growl is no longer required for basic notifications, even on OS X Lion 10.7.

We now have a System Service to make a new notification.

We now have an URL scheme to create notifications. You can find out about it in the new "Integration" tab of the Preferences window.

We now integrate with Alfred, so you can easily create sticky notifications from the Alfred interface.

We now provide an Automator action to create a new Sticky Notification.

You can now press Command-Return to post a reminder (as well as Return).

You can now use Function keys in your chosen global hotkey.

We now open all our windows on whatever Desktop (Space) you're currently using.

The main window now animates on-screen.

The main window now participates in Expose.

Clicking the menubar icon when the main window is already visible will hide the main window.

Right-clicking the menubar icon now shows the actions menu (just like the one in the actions/cog popup button in the main window).

Added a note to General preferences, saying that Sticky Notifications will only show up in the Notifications pane of System Preferences after you've made your first notification.

We now launch URLs from all fields of a notification (ignoring duplicates).

We now keep keyboard-focus on the last focused field in the main window.

We now ask for confirmation before quitting (and allow disabling the confirmation alert).

We now disable the informational text about Notification Center (including the 'Open Notifications Preferences' button) when running on Lion.

Got rid of fuzzy corners on the main and welcome windows when switching between Retina (HiDPI) and normal display modes.
