Wise Words, version 1.0, presents, in an easy to use format, the ancient wisdom of the Havamal, from the Poetic Edda---a collection of Old Norse poems written in the 13th century from oral traditions. The Havamal gives practical advice about life, love, and living, and Wise Words helps that advice to never be far from your fingertips.

While the original poems are in Old Norse, this English translation comes from Benjamin Thorpe (1782-1870), an English Anglo-Saxon scholar. His translation of the Poetic Edda, The Elder Edda of Saemund Sigfusson, is now in the public domain.
