Giggled all day flicking through it.
It’s clever, funny and thought provoking and very entertaining.
I took it with me to the hairdressers and had three people asked me what I was reading.
As soon as I saw 'thinking caps', I knew I had to have it. Not just for the content, but also for the amazing design! I'm absolutely in love with what you have put together!! The colour choice and layout, the typography. Utter brilliance! But then the contents too!! Wow.
As a trainer I am always looking for inspiration and some thinking that stimulates me! I started reading it on a plane and could feel the guy next to me giving me the eye as i laughed out loud.
I read thinking caps on my flights yesterday and I absolutely loved it. Such poetic ramblings from a generous mind which reads like a melody. Thank you for sharing them. And the work on the design, illustration, editing and all that jazz are 2nd to none. I will be tweeting and facebooking to urge peeps to grab a copy. It is a perfect xmas present or anytime present.
I took my mum out today- she is 90 years old as very sharp, it was lovely to hear her chuckle away at Glenn's writings.
A delightfully insightful collection of thoughts, methods, experiences and remedies in a unique collection that can be opened and read from any page. It captivates the reader and gets the old grey matter working.
I met Glenn Capelli at the Richard Branson event, where Glenn delivered an excellent presentation, then interviewed Sir Richard. I laughed and cried (at the same time) on the flight to Melbourne that night as I read Thinking Caps - I think you'll love it. It's actually a serious read - but a lot of fun and incredibly creative.
'Thinking Caps' is a delightful read. Beautiful command of the English language, plenty of humour, wonderful story telling, and gets you really thinking whilst in the midst of the entertainment. His unique use of music and school-boy recollections are a joy and it is a visual pleasure.
Of an evening, my husband was asking me so often what I was giggling about that I decided to read aloud... now we are BOTH enjoying the witty, generous and honest stories in Thinking Caps. Read it from cover to cover or flick it open to any page for wonderful, colourful insights from the magical brain of Glenn Capelli.
Cap, I gave Thinking Caps to my 90yr old convalescing grandfather and he's already quoting the stories back to me! Thank you.
I loved Thinking Caps. I found myself nodding, smiling and laughing out loud as childhood and youthful memories came flooding back. Only a special writer can have that affect on the reader.
Thank you for your wonderful knowledge, insight and most of all humour. You have taken me back to so many different stages of my life and made me re-assess how I think about life now.
Glenn Capelli's "thinking caps" reminded me of Bill Bryson's Thunderblot Kid in the way the stories depicted life during his growing up days and since. Glenn has captured the spirit of his youth and times in Australia through his varied stories and his fascination with contemporary life during the 70s, 80s and up to now. The 40 stories will no doubt spark many ideas in readers' minds.
This collection of sparks will light up a few conversations at dinner parties and work functions.
Glenn Capelli's whimsy and wisdom caused me to contemplate and consider how much I miss in the ordinary, day-to-day business of creating a life well lived.
Funny and sad, compassionate and thought provoking, Glenn Capelli offers recipes for living well.
