Symposion is a simple application to help you to match foods and wines. It’s not a wine database (you may find so much of them in AppStore) but you will load it with your preferred wines and foods, or the ones you will taste at restaurant or at friends’ home.
You taste foods and wines and describe them in terms of hardness, sweetness, softness, memory, personality and tannins. Once you’ve described a food, you may ask Symposion for finding the best wines to match among those saved in your database; once you’ve described a wine you may ask Symposion for finding the best foods matching the wine.
The matching strategy is based on the association of the organoleptic characteristics:
- Hardness vs. Softness
- Sweetness vs. sweetness
- Memory vs, Memory
- Personality vs. Personality
Symposion will present you a list of wines (or foods) best-match, exploring each wine (or food) with the disclosure button you will be able to save the match.
Finally from the main menu you may access to saved matches to rate them.
