Mountaineer and photographer, Ichiro Murata has taken photographs of the night skies of the Northern Japanese Alps and the Fuji Five Lakes all through the night.
At intervals of 8 seconds for 12 hours, he takes more than 5,400 pictures in a single night. By showing 30 frames per second, this would make an approximately 3 minutes movie.

About Ichiro MURATA
Born in Tokyo, March 1964. 1986, Graduate of Department of Marine Electronics; School of Marine Science and Technology; Tokai University. Also studied at the Department of Informatics and Electronics; Institute of Industrial Science; the University of Tokyo.
In 2004, became freelance after working as employee in an electronics company. Since 2007, is working on projects of new ways of showing photos of mountains and star sceneries, creating hardware as well as software by himself, has presented many of his works in photography magazines since 2010.
