Quick: Which locally owned, independent “brick and mortar” businesses do you love and not want to lose? Welcome to LookLocal, the first coast-to-coast app that helps you find them, connect with them, and share them with your friends.

Best of all, LookLocal is about more than just “buy” or “shop” local. We shine a light on the full array of options, from retailers to restaurants, service providers to sleep overs, florists to floor-ists (okay, so that’s stretching English, but hey, you get the drift). Each is special; each one counts.

Six shortcut buttons:
Shop, Eat, Sip, Stay, Play, and Services
View local, independent businesses, complete with addresses, click-to-call phone numbers, and written descriptions. Merchants who opt for Enhanced listings also sport photos, websites, email addresses, and links to their social media sites.

Maps, maps, maps:
Find a business, click the map, get directions to their front door. Prefer to view everyone in the area? No sweat. We’ve got that too.

Facebook and Twitter enabled:
Locate nearby friends, post directly to your feeds, see where others are gathering…all with full privacy options allowing you to broadcast or hide your location.

As The 3/50 Project continues its viral growth, LookLocal will continue to add more merchant listings. Check back, check often—there’s plenty of small business goodness to go around!

PLEASE NOTE:
The app will take a minute or so to load the first time you launch it, simply because there are a whole lot of businesses (thousands!) in our database. Subsequent updates will import faster--just gotta give the first one a little elbow room to settle in.
