Sushi just may be the best food in the world. But not all sushi is so great for the world. Some sushi comes from threatened fish species, while other fish used to make sushi may be caught or farmed in ways that are harmful to the environment.

So what's an eco-minded sushi-lover to do? Use the Green Sushi Selector, which makes it easy to find out which sushi you're considering ordering is green, and which isn't. The Green Sushi Selector:

• Lists all sushi fish by their Japanese names and their common market names for easy browsing.
• Profiles all of the most common fish used to make sushi, details which varieties (e.g. Pacific vs. Atlantic, wild-caught vs. farmed) of each fish are the most "green."
• Highlights health alerts that may be in place for any type of fish because of elevated levels of mercury or PCBs, and offers dietary recommendations for how often you should eat each type of fish.
• Provides a quick-reference "cheat sheet" so you can check the eco-friendliness of a given type of sushi at a glance.
