The Emoji keyboard will also work in applications that are downloaded through the Apple App Store.  

Instructions:

  To enable the Emoji keyboard press the button in the application. After activating the keyboard go to Settings > General > International > Keyboards > Japanese and turn the Emoji switch to ON. You will then be able to use the Emoji by pressing the globe icon on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch keyboard.
