Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers has distributed nearly $450,000 in rewards to concerned citizens. In doing so over 3,000 arrests have been made, over 3,800 cases cleared and over $5 million in property has been recovered. To date over 16,000 calls have been made the tip line. In 2005, Crime Stoppers engaged a 24-hour tip line for calls to operators who are bi-lingual. This has dramatically increased the number of tips received and addresses the rapidly growing diversity of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area.

With this new technology the user has the ability to:

•Find the nearest police station using GPS and receive turn by turn directions.

•One touch calling directly to a Crime Stoppers Representative.

•Receive notifications about crime related incidences in your community; including AMBER Alerts.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers collects none of your personal information. Your tips are completely anonymous. You are provided with a unique user name and password and the app collects your “Push Message” ID so you can receive real time alerts about your submitted tips. We don’t collect any of your contact information!
