Monkeys vs. Humans - Can you beat the chimpanzee?
This very funny and addictive game is made to train your short time memory.
Why did I make this game?
Professor Tetsuro Matsuzawa, at the Kyoto Primate Research Institute in Japan, has devised a memory test for chimpanzees.
His star pupil is a seven year old chipanzee, named Ayumu.
Showing him the numbers 1 to 9 at random positions on a touch screen he needs to put them into the right order, by touching them one by one.
Every time he gets it right he gets a treat - a raisin or a tiny piece of apple.
Now the researchers made it even harder. As soon as the chimp presses the number 1 the rest of the numbers are hidden.
He has to remember where the numbers were and press the empty squares in the numerical order.
Even in this hard mode the chimp has a 100% accuracy and is lightning fast in remembering the positions and touching the numbers.
He can remember the positions in 0.65 seconds!!!
Are you fast enough to compete with the chimp?
This game was made to show the chimps, that the humans are superior in evolution and can be faster than them after some hard training - the chimp has trained his short time memory for six months with this game to get so incredibly fast - lets see if you need less training than the monkey!
