Eating East does not attempt to be comprehensive. Instead, it considers the particular charm and potential of the neighborhood’s eateries to help you satiate the many shades of your culinary cravings. A majority of the 110 entries are budget-friendly spots located between Hollywood east to Boyle Heights, and Koreatown north to Eagle Rock. And any restaurant that is priced a bit fabulously is worth the fuss.

Tourists and west side residents hoping to navigate through some of the region’s tremendously artistic, ambitious and independent-minded eateries will benefit from the interactive map, pricing guide, and slide show. And current east side residents in need of a go-to resource for phone numbers, addresses, farmers market locations and ideas for a night out can use the Eating East as an everyday resource.  This neighborhood of our sprawl is rich with effort, art and potential. Easting East will give you a taste of this spirit as the region straddles its rich history, and its progression in innovative and quirky culinary ambitions.
