THE LITTLE MERMAID is the timeless classic tale written by Hans Christian Andersen about a beautiful mermaid living in the sea, longing for knowledge of the human world. When she by accident rescues a human prince, she falls in love with him. To realize her strong will to see her beloved Prince, she exchanges her sweet voice for the Sea Witch’s magic potion that can changes her tail to human legs. She even agrees that if the prince marries any girl other than her, she will dissolve into the foam of the sea. But the prince takes another girl to be his rescuer and marries her. Finally, before she has to dissolve herself into the foam of the sea, the Sea Witch tells her to kill the prince to save herself. What does the little mermaid do? Does she kill the prince or does she dissolve into the foam of the sea? Let’s read the book and see.
