SRN Client
Student Response Network (SRN) is a powerful “virtual Clicker” student/audience response system designed for use in wired school computer labs or with wireless laptop groups. It does away with the need for dedicated personal handheld “clicker” devices by providing a software-only solution for use with networked client devices.
SRN Client for iPhone/iPod extends the response options from Windows, OSX and Linux desktops and laptops to Apple’s handheld mobile devices. Now in 802.11 wireless settings, you can use your iPhone or iPod to connect to response sessions in class and participate as if you had access to one of those bulkier computers – except you have the same power in the palm of your hand.
Student Response Network allows for Raise Hand/Beat-the-Buzzer activities as well as traditional Yes/No, True/False and A/B/C/D multiple choice responses. In addition, it is possible to submit FreeText responses from your iPhone/iPod Touch.
SRN Client for iPhone/iPod Touch can only work in conjunction with the teacher’s/presenter’s SRN Server application. Without an SRN Server to connect to, the SRN Client does nothing. In other words, this app cannot be used on its own.
Includes English and Japanese localization.
