SPARKvue® HD brings real-time sensor data collection, visualization and analysis for inquiry-based science to your iPad. And much more!
Designed from the ground up around a science learning framework, SPARKvue HD seamlessly integrates the modern technologies of sensor-based data collection into the teaching and learning experience.
Just connect any of over 70 PASCO sensors (via PASCO’s Bluetooth sensor interface, PASPORT® AirLink 2), and begin measuring a wide range of phenomena, including pH, temperature, force, carbon dioxide level, and many more. Capture images with the iPad cameras and use SPARKvue HD’s image analysis capabilities. Or collect and display live acceleration data with the iPad internal accelerometer.
•Measure and display sensor data in real time
•Display data in a graph, bar graph, analog meter, digits or table
•Analyze data with built-in statistical tools
•Open and perform any of the 60-plus SPARKlab® interactive lab activities included free
•Create electronic student lab journals
Designed for science learning:
With SPARKlab interactive lab activities, teachers can blend instructional content, live data collection & analysis, reflection prompts and more, all completely within the SPARKvue HD environment. Over 60 SPARKlabs come free with the SPARKvue HD license. Or build your own!
Convenient annotation, snapshot and electronic journaling features support peer dialogue, classroom presentations, and assessment opportunities. SPARKvue HD goes beyond measurement and analysis, and provides these and other tools to enhance learning.
SPARKvue HD is a member of PASCO’s SPARKscience™ family, providing the same user experience across all technology environments, from desktop computers to netbooks, interactive whiteboards, and of course iPads and other tablets. No matter what the mix of technology is in the classroom or the school, teachers and students all share the same user experience--placing the learning experience in the forefront and simplifying classroom management.

Where do I get sensors?
PASCO offers over 70 PASPORT Sensors, including MultiMeasure Sensors such as the Chemistry or Water Quality Sensors, measuring multiple phenomena with just one convenient sensor box. For purchasing information, see pasco.com/iPad.
How is this different from the free SPARKvue app?
SPARKvue HD is the full-featured version of PASCO’s award-winning desktop application. Our free SPARKvue app continues to be available for very simple data collection and display on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
“Where's the pinch and zoom?”
We've had many questions from educators about the multi-touch and gesture features they expect in using their iPads. We want to assure you these interaction features are coming with our SPARKvue HD 2.0 release! Available in early 2013, the release will incorporate pinch, zoom and many other native iPad gestures.
SPARKvue HD supports 24 languages. See pasco.com/iPad for details.
Because SPARKvue was designed from the start with learning in mind, support is literally integrated into the design itself. Even so, SPARKvue HD has an integrated help system, just a touch away with the help icon. Further assistance with SPARKvue HD or any PASCO product is available free from PASCO Teacher Support.
PASCO scientific brings a rich history of innovation and support for science education, with almost 50 years of service to educators around the world.
Incremental update to fully activate the iPad’s on-board sound level sensor and to fix a SPARKlab loading issue.
