Fine Art - The Great Masters

Fine Art - The Great Masters

       iOS iPhone

Fine Art is an excellent resource for students of art, teachers, curators, and just about anyone interested in viewing some of the world's most treasured fine art in the palm of a hand.

****************************
This free version of Fine Art is just a sampler of 30 images, so that you can see how the application framework works.

To download the additional content, use the "Buy More" link on the first screen of the application. The Fine Art image collection is split into multiple volumes, organized by letter, and contain between 2000 - 3000 images in each volume.
****************************

Please note that some images may depict nude or semi-nude figures. These are NOT meant to be adult-oriented in any manner, but simply reflect the creative expression of the artist. These are, after all, the great masters of art throughout history.

A subset of the overall feature list for this application includes:

- Advanced search for all artwork. The top 150 images (with titles and descriptions) are returned by the search engine. If you need a more finely-tuned search, simply add more terms into the search field. The search engine searches both the title and description of the art.

- Add/edit/remove artwork, and access artwork you added using My Art. You can edit it using your on-screen keypad, or add your own images of artwork.

- Rate artwork on a 5-star system. Once rated, the image is much easier to access later since you can just tap on the "Top Rated" button (in the "More" section)

- Mark your favorite art, and view them in the Favorites area. This is similar to the "Top Rated" feature, but with more direct access since the button is always-visible at the bottom of the screen. Think of this as the best of the best.

- E-mail any item to a friend, and CC or BCC it, too.

- Rename categories and add/remove categories. We've given you a starting point to help you categorize and organize your artwork, but you can always add more, or change the default categorization. Also, you can put any art in up to 2 categories, if desired.

- Shake your mobile device for a random work of art. This is just fun on every level. Your kids will like this one, too.

- "View All" artwork for access to every item in the database. This can take a few seconds to load since there are a LOT of artwork.

- Use a simple "finger swipe" gesture to move from one item to another, or use the previous/next buttons. Navigating the database of fine art has never been easier!

- Insert a textual comment about the artwork. For example, you may want to keep some notes about the pointer or provenance of the artwork, or in which gallery the art can be found.

- The history feature keeps a log of what you've seen, so you can always go back to view that work of art you remembered from days ago.

- A Settings screen allows you to change the relative font sizes and the size of the history table.

This app requires at least OS version 3.0

If you liked this app, you'll probably also like things like "20,000 Quotes" and "World History Facts" and many other database-driven applications by Darren Gates.
