To mark 70 years since the D-Day landings, Quelle Histoire is offering a great app to let the youngest understand the historic day of 6th June 1944.
From the preparations for Operation Overlord to the start of the Battle of Normandy, this app retraces the major stages which led to the Allies retaking Europe.
In the spirit of Quelle Histoire apps, “D-Day for kids” offers an educational and fun approach designed for children between 6 and 10 years of age. Ten animated and interactive images invite children to discover each of the stages of this great moment in history. Maps with legends situate the events and focus sheets allow them to memorise the important items. Lastly, the games encourage them to learn while having fun.
