Starting in Prehistoric Art and ending with the tools to discover the complexities of Contemporary Art this App will server great as an introduction to the daunting task of understanding the comprehensive world of Art History.
 
This App comes complete with voiced over lessons, vocabulary units, flash cards and multiple-choice questions in the units that follow: Prehistoric Times, Ancient Civilizations, Greek Art, Roman Art, Early Christian & Byzantine Art, Romanesque Art, Gothic Art, Art of the Fifteenth & Sixteenth Centuries, Art of the The Seventeenth & Eighteenth Centuries, Art of the Nineteenth Century, and Art of the Twentieth & Twenty-first Centuries. 
 
The goal of this app is to give an understanding of Art History’s vitally important role in understanding History in general; that is why this App is designed to serve as a starting point that will teach you to question Art at a higher level and discover the context of famous piece of Art.
 
Art is the remnants of the culture that once was and with the tools in this app you can go out and understand those remnants for yourself.
 
Meredith Smarr, who is the developer of this App, has worked diligently to bring you an experience that of learning Art History at the level of a college 101 class. Along with her studies at the Art Institute of Colorado and her current work in The Masters of Art Education program at CSU-Pueblo in Colorado, she created this App with her immense passion for Art History, which she passes on to you.
